Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

We make choices almost every minute of our lives. Each occasion presents an opportunity to choose, usually with many possibilities. (Brown, blue or red dress? . . . buy the movie or just rent it? . . . send the kids to private school or home school them?) We are bombarded daily with decisions, decisions, and more decisions.
But how do you handle the ones that are life changing, when you aren’t comfortable with your options? What should you do?
A good motto for life should be, “When in doubt; don’t!”
. . . Don’t do anything!
. . . Don’t act in a hasty manner, just because the pressure is on!
. . . Don’t choose an answer that suits the moment, you may regret it.
. . . Don’t jump into a situation, you know in your knower, isn’t right.
If you are doubting, just STOP!
The Bible says in Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” In Psalm 73:24 it states, “You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory.” The Lord is promising to guide, lead, direct and complete our path with glory AFTER we allow Him to shine His light upon us. Give God time!
He will come through. The Lord will show you the right way, or the best choice. Sometimes doubt isn’t all bad, it makes us STOP and reflect and ask advice.
So if you are facing a difficult decision, remember, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Matt 7:7)
